2015 SUMMER ART CAMPS

Hello and Welcome back to RED BANNER STUDIO I will be offering various art camps again for this summer 2015!

Location: My backyard in the Hardin Valley area

Ages: Any child 6-11 years that shows an interest in arts and crafts.

Camps are a focused art experience while keeping the lessons fun and engaging with plenty of popsicle breaks. I like to keep the camps small, so 10 will be the most available slots per camp. See camps and non-refundable pricing below. Please be prompt when picking up your child(ren).

CAMPS (Costs incl. all supplies and is due IN FULL at registration to hold your child’s spot)

Oil Pastels: May 25th, 26th and 27th at 9:30-12:00 $65.00 due May 18th This camp we will learn about American artist Wayne Thiebaud . Using oil pastels, we will learn technique in layering color and creating our very own delicious work of art.

Cartography: June 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 9:30-12:00 $65.00 due May 25th This camp we will learn about American explorers Lewis and Clark and how they created maps to document their work. Using a variety of techniques we will age paper and make a quality map. To create a meaningful work of art for a family keepsake, the young artists will need to have an idea about the directions to their favorite destination! (ex: grandma’s farm, my neighborhood, vacation spots, etc)

Drawing: July 6th and 7th (2 day camp) 9:30-12:00 $45.00 due June 29th I have had a few ask me about drawing so I decided to offer a camp for that this summer. We will learn about American artist Jim Dine. Using drawing tools like pen and ink and graphite, we will use a variety of techniques to create a finished work of art!

Your child will walk away with a finished work of art as well as knowing that we are created in God’s image. And because we are created in His image, we have been given the ability to create.
