Hello and welcome to Red Banner Studio. I am offering summer camps again this summer 2014. The location of art camp is usually in my back yard where we can get messy in our fun. The camp is for anyone ages 6-11 and shows interest in arts and crafts. The camp is a focused art experience with keeping the lessons fun and engaging with plenty of popsicle breaks. I do like to keep the camp sizes small with up to six students to go along with my two fellas.

Tempera Batik:
This is a method of painting designed to mimic the look of traditional fabric batiks that are created using wax and dyes. As we build layers of paint- the process is fun and the end result is always satisfying.

Registration date for this camp is May 27. The dates for Tempera Batik are June 2,3, and 4. 9:30 to Noon with prompt pick up please. The cost includes all supplies that we will use.
$65.00 Payment is due in full at registration. Payment is nonrefundable and it holds your spot in the class.

Water Color Painting:
This is always the most popular camp. You child will learn painting techniques that will result in a lovely finished piece of art work.
Registration for this camp is June 2. The dates for Water Color camp are June 9, 10 and 11. 9:30 to Noon with prompt pick up please. The cost includes all of the supplies that we will use. $55.00 Payment is due in full at registration. Payment is nonrefundable and it holds your spot in the class.

Print Making:
This is the most demanding of all my camps- but it is a favorite to many! Your child will learn how to use tools specific to making a fine art print. We will study several print making styles- many are surprisingly familiar to your child. Older students will create by carving a printing block while my youngest students will draw ideas into styro foam to create their prints. This is a super fun camp and the finished art work is always fantastic.

Registration for this camp is June 17. Camp dates for Print Making are June 23-25. 9:30-Noon with prompt pick up please.
The cost includes all supplies that we will use.

Cartography:
This camp is a new one with pirates and fairy hunters in mind. The focus will be on drawing techniques specifically for map making and how we share information about places we have been or would like to visit. Aging paper to create a fun map is always a delight.

Registration for this camp is June 24. Camp dates for Cartography are June 30, July 1, and 2. 9:30-Noon with prompt pick up please. The cost includes all supplies that we will use.
